The Sound of AI Job Post for Stealth Gen AI Music Startup (Junior)

Job Title

Founding Junior AI Music Engineer

Title is provisional and may be changed based on the candidate's experience.

Are you senior? We are also hiring a Senior AI Music Engineer

Company

A well-funded and promising Harvard & Stanford co-founding team is currently building the first-ever generative AI frontline music label, from the ground up. Whereas most other generative AI music platforms are effectively ChatGPT for music, significantly constraining the creative contributions of their users, while training LLMs without any regard for copyright, this startup is doing things differently. As musicians themselves, the co-founding team is prioritizing empowering their users to truly drive the creative process targeting premium and human-first music, while building in a copyright-safe way, and ultimately monetizing by way of subscriptions as well as royalty participation. In the long-term, the team aims to build a vertically integrated platform - a best-in-class Gen AI product suite, distribution, analytics, and beyond - to support musicians from inspiration through monetization. Angels and advisors include the Head of Gen AI & LLMs at Spotify, as well as the Head of Music Consulting at McKinsey & Co., among others.
